Hair styles for very fine hair?

I have medium length very fine hair. So far, the only style I have been able to pull of is the ponytail, which gets old. But when I try to wear it down, the ends curl outwards and it gets wicked poofy. Is there a haircut/treatment I can try so that I can wear my hair differently?Hair styles for very fine hair?
