What's the hair styles for this Fall/Winter [08] season? long or short?

I'm a Brunette with straight medium length hair and don't know if I should just let it grow a lil' longer or cut it short for this Fall/Winter season? Any and all advise Welcomed, Thank you!

This season short sleeks cuts are in, with eyebrow skimming bangs and also long hair that looks glamorous. The main look will be bangs, and to the side looks great. But most of all do what you want. Just because everyone else has the ';in'; look doesn't mean you have to.....why be a clone?!

Why do something everyone has and do something different and stand out. Then everyone will be walking around with the same hair and clothes styles. I can't stand when they have ';what's in'; and ';what's not hip';. Pretty lame if you ask me.
This year bangs are in. Also since your hair is straight maybe some layers.
