Does any one know any hair styles to keep sand from getting tangled in your hair?

Im going to the sand dunes with my family soon, and every time I go, my hair gets really tangled and the sand that gets in it takes AGES to get out. I have tried ponytails and braids, but they dont help much. I would appreaciate any ideas!Does any one know any hair styles to keep sand from getting tangled in your hair?
Maybe try braiding it and then wearing a hat. Otherwise, there probably isn't much you can do.Does any one know any hair styles to keep sand from getting tangled in your hair?
here is some ways to clean it, a bucket of water and soak your head on it, and shake it with your hand.


yes, wear hat, and wash your hair before hand, a clean hair is less likely to catch sand ( a bit)
