Hmm.... I have wavy brown hair to my shoulders too! I do half ponytails a lot, and it looks really cute. I also have light side bangs. It would look really cute on you with ur curly hair. You don't need to cut it. There are many different things you can do. Try getting a straightening iron, use it to give yourself a very different look.
Then there is always, braids, extensions, ribbons, hair clips, barrettes, etc. Is it long enough for pony tails? Pull it up on the side, or try to Topsy tail it? I could go on, I am always trying different styles with my nieces hair. Try combining the braid and the Topsy tail, I know it sounds weird but done correctly it is really cute.
You could just braid the sides and leave the back alone.
Well as I said I could go on forever, as I love to come up with different hair styles and I don't recommend cutting it.
